Part 0 - Introduction, Failings of The Framework

(Reading Time: 1 minute 5 seconds)

The failings of an initial framework.

As this framework sits today, it is at version 0.1. We’re talking, beginnings of beginnings. So if you have some dream of implementing a Scrum-style quality framework into your organization like this one (which this one doesn’t currently have a name, I was considering “Maple Syrup” in passing both to encourage people to slow-down and because Canada), I honestly would question why bother. At best this fits like a perfect glove to my current organization, and not at all to whatever organization you may currently be working at.

Think of the agile manifesto, and how that came about. Yeah, I cannot think of that either. But first probably 5-10 years prior maybe something similar to this popped up. In the 90s at some time, some dude went ‘I have an idea!’. Maybe people listened, maybe they didn’t, I really don’t know, I wasn’t even a teenager yet. What you are currently looking at is at best this thing I just described, so keep that in mind. I’m going to get comments into all the blog pages as well, so passers by can leave “I hate this thing it ruined my job/workplace/whatever” notes on the blog pages, so that I can update the blog articles as I figure out what actually works, what doesn’t, and what is inbetween.

Thanks to the several people who contributed to this framework. If you are one of them (if you’re reading this the answer is likely yes), feel free to send me a message and I’ll add you to an explicit thanks list.
